A fast-casual takeout or dine-in Caribbean & Jamaican restaurant, conveniently situated on the corner of Kirby Drive and McNee Road in Houston across from NRG Stadium. Known for their family recipes of classic Caribbean food staples, from Jamaican beef patties and coco bread, to jerk chicken, oxtail, and curried goat or chicken. Offerings now include vegetarian alternatives. The bakery boasts numerous enticing options including spice bun, hard dough bread, and carrot cake (among many more delectable items).

This place was SO good. My coworker and I came here for lunch and split a jerk chicken lunch special with the brown stewed chicken gravy and a jerk chicken patty. Each of us spent no more than $9 and it was very filling! Overall: 4/5 Food: 4/5 The brown stewed chicken was TOP notch. Tender chicken pieces with a super flavorful gravy. The jerk chicken patty was also flavorful but lacked the spice that’s characteristic to jerk seasoning. If it had some spice, I truly would have enjoyed it a lot more. The jerk chicken that came in the lunch special was pretty good, but not as flavorful or tender as the chicken in the gravy so it was hard-pressed to hit all the notes (though it certainly tried its best). The rice and peas and vegetables were relatively bland by themselves but mixed with the gravy were quite nice and very filling. Fried plantain was nice but it was sad that the special only came with one. It would have been nice if there were two in there lol Service: 5/5 Hard to have anything to complain about here! We got takeout, so it’s not like we were served in house. However, the person filling our order made sure to check with us on what gravy we wanted and gave us freshly roasted pieces of the jerk chicken. Everyone working there was super welcoming and friendly despite being pretty busy. No complaints or notes from me! Atmosphere: 3/5 No issues with the inside, and it smells great in there. Solely 3 stars because this is clearly more of a take out spot. Not really a space to sit inside and eat, but the decor that’s there is nice, the people are friendly, and the food is great.
