A fast-casual takeout or dine-in Caribbean & Jamaican restaurant conveniently situated inside Terminal 8 at the John F. Kennedy International Airport. Known for their family recipes of classic Caribbean food staples, from Jamaican beef patties and coco bread, to jerk chicken, oxtail, and curried goat or chicken. The bakery boasts numerous enticing options including spice bun, hard dough bread, and carrot cake (among many more delectable items).

After a travel day from hell, we discovered we missed our flight home and were stranded until the next day. It was late at night, and we were hungry and completely exhausted. As someone with strict food restrictions, finding a safe, satisfying meal late at night is stressful. We decided to try Golden Krust, and it was the ultimate silver lining. It smelled great, the staff was really nice, and I noticed the airport employees were eating there. My saying is always: if the locals eat there, it must be good. Well, as an out-of-state visitor, this place did not disappoint. We ordered the curry chicken, rice, and plantains. Even though it was late, the food tasted remarkably fresh, deeply flavorful, and entirely homemade. How can airport food be this good? It completely defied all expectations. My only disappointment is that I don’t live in NYC and can’t have it again anytime soon. Thank you, Golden Krust, for making a really terrible day so much more bearable.
This place saved the day for us. We don't eat burgers or fast food; we like real food, and fortunately, this place is right here in the airport. Recommended.
