Known for their family recipes of classic Caribbean food staples, from Jamaican beef patties and coco bread, to jerk chicken, oxtail, and curried goat or chicken. Offerings now include vegetarian and beyond meat alternatives. The bakery boasts numerous enticing options including spice bun, hard dough bread, and carrot cake (among many more delectable items).

As a personal policy, I do not write bad reviews and there is a lot to like about this Golden Crust store. Sadly the patties which I bought and the bun and cheese sandwich is not included in that. The store had a very modern, clean and attractive look. The lunch display was mouth-watering and made me wish to eat from each entree. The young man at the register was polite. However, for a restaurant that established itself as a “patty shop,” the crust was far from crispy and golden but was instead hard to bite into and the meat was not flavorful, neither the chicken or the beef. I was visiting my mom in NYC and bought bun and cheese to take back home for my wife. It was a disappointment to observe that the cheese which looked so appetizing covered approximately half of the sandwich. If you can't trust a restaurant to provide a full slice of cheese, then what can you truly trust them with?
