Customer Feedback

Yesterday, my family and I stopped at the Goldencrest in South Harriston in Dekalb, Ga. We ordered a large oxtail, a small oxtail, jerk chicken, beef patty, and a large sorrell which came up to $91 and change. . When I got home, I started eating the jerk chicken meal I ordered. I began with the rice and peas, and I got oxtail gravy on my rice, which tasted like ginger. The sauce was solely ginger, so that was a turnoff for me. Not even 10 to 15 minutes later, I started feeling sick to my stomach and then I started throwing up the food. My husband's oxtail container was just fat; he threw it in the trash. The picture I’m showing now is what my little girl got, and she didn’t even eat it because it was nothing but fat. When you go to these holden Krust restaurants, they’re pre-packaged the oxtail, and I don’t like that because you’re telling me there’s nothing but fat in a container for what you’re charging—over 30 dollars for oxtail. We need to do better. Normally, I will cook this at home, but it was Father’s Day yesterday and since we’re out on the street, I decided to treat my husband to a meal from the streets.

I have only had their veggie platter which consisted of veggies, rice and pea with plantains. They aren't stingy with the portions and the oxtail gravy is delicious. I look forward to trying more foods when they open back up after renovations.
